Are you between 13-18? Then there's a special place for you in the Connexion!
Twice a year, the teenagers of our network gather to explore their faith and encourage each other. The first gathering is 'Youth Conference', held at High Leigh alongside the annual Connexion Conference at Easter, where we have our own programme of activities with a dedicated youth speaker. The second is a weekend away traditionally called 'Reunion' in the Autumn half-term. With support from the Trustees, these events are run by the youth for the youth and are times of coming to faith, deepening of faith and being equipped to live a life of mission as a disciple of Jesus (alongside laser-tag, murder mystery parties, geocaching, llama walking and much more!)
Teenagers are vital members of our family, both a valuable part of the church of today and the emerging leaders of the church of tomorrow. As a Connexion, we are committed to investing in their lives. Not only have these gatherings been fundamental in many teens coming to faith over the years, but they have also acted as training grounds for church leaders, with many of our current church leaders, including ministers, trustees, treasurers, missionaries and church secretaries having their first experiences of leadership running them.
