GDPR change request

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. This new regulation will enhance and strengthen data protection within the European Union including the United Kingdom. This means that your personal data will be more secure and stored within the EU. The enforcement date for GDPR is 25th May 2018.

Accordingly the  ConnexionTrustees have developed a set of guidance Policies and Guidelines which are provided to Connexion churches as recommended guidance for each church to apply as appropriate in their own circumstances. If you are uncertain about what this is all about, you might find this page from the Information Commissioner’s Office website helpful:

The Connexion secretary communicated with existing contacts on the 13th April 2018 the need for opt-in or opt-out response.with a deadline of Friday 18th May 2018. Opt-out or failure to respond automatically means that the Connexion will  not be able to communicate with the contact electronically and therefore unable to  make contact regarding important matters affecting for example: Church life , Church buildings or advise of changes to laws and regulations and how they might affect church management. Contact details will therefore be deleted from our records.

After 25th May 2018

If you need to establish or reinstate electronic communication with the Connexion, please use this GDPR contact form and confirm that you wish to receive information. Please complete all sections. Note that this is not applicable for internal communication within churches that have become independent charities (CIO's) who will have their own Data protection processes).
